Support Analyst
Candidate profile

Key responsibilities
- Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone, email and/or using a help desk management system
- Ensures that requests for assistance are properly logged, assigned and responded to in a timely manner and according to agreed standards and procedures
- Prioritize problems, diagnose and work to resolve them
- Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriate Tier 3 support team
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Data manipulations
- Writing SQL scripts and maintenance of SQL Server databases
- Interact with end users and line managers to gather requirements, and implement the agreed solution
- Log all support interactions and maintain accurate log entries with resolution details and follow up information
- Update daily status reports and shift handover reports
- Stay current with system information, changes and updates
- Understand business data relationships
Professional skills
Required:
- Good knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 and T-SQL
- Familiarity with XML, XPath, XQuery, and XSLT
- Good technical and professional communication skills
Appreciated:
- Working experience in insurance or accounting
- Basic knowledge of ASP.NET C# and MS Visual Studio in last 2 years
