Data Migration/Business Intelligence Developer (multiple positions)
We are expanding our team and have multiple job openings for the position Data Migration/Business
Intelligence Developer.
Candidate profile
We are looking for energetic, self motivated persons who are results-oriented and
able to face a challenging work environment, handle stress and meet strict deadlines.
You must be both team and client oriented with excellent communication skills. All
candidates must possess strong analytical and technical skills that will enable
them to understand client needs.
We need persons who will be able to analyze requirements, develop custom business
intelligence solutions, integrate data, create and run test scripts and work as
business consultants in various projects.
The candidates must be experienced with Oracle. Business intelligence platforms
like Informatica, SAP Business Objects or MS SQL Analysis Services are preferred
but not mandatory. If necessary, training in using Informatica tools will be provided
to employees who possess the required skills.
Key responsibilities
- Working on data migration projects - full project lifecycle - requirement analysis,
data migration, writing and running test scripts, and correcting issues identified
in testing
- Using Informatica Power Centre to develop, test and implement Informatica mappings
and mapplets; creation of configuration and parameter files; migrating Informatica
mapping from one environment to the other (e.g. Dev to Test to Live etc).
- Using Informatica Power Exchange to extract data from AS400 database. Using and
configuring change data capture (CDC).
Professional skills
Required:
- University degree
- Very good RDBMS design/development skills including profound knowledge of Oracle
and PL/SQL. Basic database administration skills are desirable
- Experience with ETL projects including requirement analysis, data migration, testing
and correcting issues found during testing
- Experience with business requirement analysis, excellent problem solving skills
- Fluent English
Appreciated:
- Experience with using Informatica Power Center (particularly on mapplets – migrating
and configuration), Informatica Power Exchange tools for data extraction and Informatica
administration (highly appreciated). Informatica training is available for suitable
candidates who possess the mandatory skills.
- Experience of working in Unix as an operating system, plus writing Unix shell scripts
(highly appreciated)
- Experience with Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse design/development including
experience with multidimensional cube modeling, querying and reporting (highly appreciated)
- SAP Business Objects
- Trillium Data Quality
Certificates in any of the required or appreciated skills will be considered as
an advantage.
